What We Do
Every project gets the same attention to detail — whether it's a kitchen remodel or a full custom build.
From blueprints to move-in day, we build homes that reflect your lifestyle — with quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship at every stage.
Kitchens, bathrooms, basements — we transform worn spaces into functional, beautiful rooms that add real value to your home.
Roof leaks, structural concerns, aging decks — we diagnose problems quickly and fix them right the first time, every time.
Need more space? We design and build seamless additions — sunrooms, home offices, in-law suites — that feel like they were always part of the house.
Siding, roofing, windows, decks, and fencing — we protect and beautify your home's exterior with durable, code-compliant materials.
Navigating Smithtown building codes can be daunting. We handle permits, inspections, and compliance so you don't have to worry.
About Us
Craig Mitchell Construction has been a fixture in the Smithtown building community for over two decades. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a full-service residential contractor known for showing up on time, sticking to budgets, and leaving every job site cleaner than we found it.
We live here. We send our kids to local schools. When we build your home, we're building in our own neighborhood — and that personal stake shows in the quality of our work.

How We Work
A straightforward process designed to keep you informed and in control at every stage.
We meet at your home, discuss your vision, assess the space, and answer your questions — no pressure, no obligation.
You'll receive a detailed written estimate with material selections, timeline, and scope — so there are never surprises.
Our crew builds with care, keeps the site clean, and communicates progress daily. You'll always know what's happening next.
We walk every inch of the work with you before we consider it done. If something isn't perfect, we fix it — immediately.
Client Stories
We let our work speak for itself — but we're glad when our clients take a moment to share their experience.
Craig and his team remodeled our kitchen and it exceeded every expectation. They were on time, on budget, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. We couldn't be happier.
We needed a deck built quickly before summer and Craig made it happen. Professional from the first call to the final cleanup. Highly recommend for any exterior work.
Honest, reliable, and skilled — three things you don't always find in this business. Craig treated our home like his own. We've already called him back for the basement.
